News

2010 turned out to be a bumper harvest for us, so much so that we needed every tank in the winery and had no spare tanks to keep the Bees Knees separate!

2011 found us better prepared and the 90% grenache, 10% mourvedre Bees Knees turned out to be everything that we had hoped for!

2012 was a difficult year for the mourvedre which we replaced with cinsault in the wine which will be bottled in spring 2014.

2013 has so far been a very unusual year. Plenty of rain over the winter and spring has refilled the aquifers which have been so depleted by a long run of dry years, however the spring was cool with a sudden change to warmer weather during flowering which seems to have upset the fruit set. Maybe the harvest will be smaller than usual but we shall see ...
